20th Street SE Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation Project (3rd Avenue SE to Meadow Park Driveway)
On Monday, April 17, 2017, work is expected to begin along 20th Street SE from 3rd Avenue SE to the Meadow Park driveway. Work includes spot repairs to the concrete pavement and curb. The project also includes the replacement of sanitary manhole covers, storm manhole covers and water main replacement. The two railroad crossings near Seneca will be replaced by CP Rail in coordination with this project. The roadway will be closed to through traffic for approximately two weeks when the railroad crossings are replaced, and traffic will be detoured to 16th Street SE (see map). At all other times, one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction. The project will not impact the entrance to the park.
The project is expected to last into the month of June. Bus routes and schedules may be impacted by the project. Transit riders should pay close attention to any changes, which will be posted at bus stops if necessary.
Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists are advised to use care while driving or walking through and around all work zones. The cooperation and patience of the public is greatly appreciated during construction.
