News Release: Relocation of Electric Facilities on 18th Avenue NW Between Kings Run and 36th Street

Post Date:01/05/2018
Starting on January 9, 2018, RPU plans to start the relocation of overhead facilities along the west side of 18th Avenue NW between Kings Run and 36th Street. This work will require the shifting of a traffic lane to the east. The project and associated traffic shifts are expected to start at Kings Run and move south as the project progresses. The likely phasing of the project, though subject to change, will be:
1. Kings Run to south of 50th Street
2. 50th Street to 48th Street
3. 48th Street to 43rd Street
4. 43rd Street to 41st Street
5. 41st Street to 36th Street

Phases of this project may impact sidewalks adjacent to the work site. Pedestrian detours will be posted.

This project should not have any impact on the current bus routes. Visit www.rptride.com  to stay apprised of any changes.

Pedestrians and drivers are advised to use caution while traveling around and through all construction zones.
