As part of the Rochester Parks & Forestry overall integrated pest management program, which includes multiple methods of control, we will be performing various chemical applications including fertilization, herbicide and pesticide applications.
- Pre & Post emergent herbicide application is planned for roadway medians through the City.
- Injection treatment of boulevard Ash Trees for Emerald Ash Borer will begin approximately June 1 and continue over the next three months.
- Fertilization and herbicide application will occur in several areas over the next 30 day period, weather permitting. Generally areas of herbicide application will include tree well & landscape bed locations, spot spraying of noxious weeds/or invasive vegetation, and turf areas in high profile areas along rights of way. Other areas are scheduled for fertilization and herbicide applications at various sports fields and fence lines: Withers, Watson, Mcquillan, RBC, Faud, Fastpitch.
