Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development
Community Development Block Grant
The City of Rochester administers the Community Development Block (CDBG)Program and receives an annual allocation from HUD. As part of the program, the City is required to provide a Five Year Consolidated Plan and an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing for the community.
The fundamental purpose of the CDBG Program is to assist communities in providing affordable housing, economic development (including redevelopment), neighborhood revitalization and community development services. The CDBG Program objectives include elimination of slum and blight, assist low and moderate income persons, and fund activities which the individual city deems urgent.
