Mission Statement

To safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of the public in the built environment through the administration and enforcement of the Minnesota State Building Code, the Rochester Housing Code, and other laws and ordinances related to the erection, occupancy, and maintenance of structures. This is achieved through the review of plans and the periodic inspection of all new construction, remodeling, or renovation for all structures and the systematic inspection of new and existing residential rental housing units.
