Notice is hereby given by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that all persons interested in the following public hearings may be heard at a meeting of the Common Council to be held in the Council/Board Chambers in the Government Center, 151 4th Street SE on Monday, April 2, at 7 pm in the Council/Board Chambers:
J7319: Reconstruction of 7 AVE NW from 2 ST SW to 4 ST NW
Final Plat R2018-004PLAT by Willow Heights, LLC, to be known as Willow Heights 5th, for a development consisting of 25 single-family residential lots and 4 outlots on 38.9 acres. The site is located on the north side of 40th Street SW, to the west of Willow Heights Drive SW, and to the east of 9th Avenue SW.
The City Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, will hold a public meeting in the Council/Board Chambers of the Government Center, 151 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN, on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, , at 6:00 p.m. regarding:
Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Interim Overlay District (#R2018-001TA). The City is considering adopting an interim ordinance to protect the planning process while considering an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. The TOD Interim Overlay District is an ordinance creating an overlay zoning district to protect opportunities for transit-supportive and transit oriented development for a limited time period while the Comprehensive Plan and long-term TOD regulations are completed. The ordinance is intended to support pedestrian and transit supportive uses and design, and avoid development to the contrary that could interfere with supporting TOD and transit ridership. The ordinance will establish an overlay zoning district that includes parcels abutting Broadway Ave between 37th Street N and 12th Street S, abutting 4th Street SE between Silver Creek Rd NE and Broadway Ave South, and parcels abutting 2nd Street SW between Wimbledon Hills Dr SW and Broadway Ave South, excluding parcel within the Central Business District. The Overlay zone will also include parcel that are roughly within 660 feet of following intersections Broadway: 37th N, Elton Hills Drive N, 7th street N, 12th Street S/TH 14, and the intersection of Collegeview Rd E and Silver Creek Rd NE.
Design Modification #R2018-001DM by Americo Real Estate Company for modifications to bufferyards and parking associated with site development plan R2018-010SDP for a U-Haul development. The site is located at the northwest corner of Commercial Drive SW and Sedge Meadow Circle SW.
