Rochester Sales Tax Advisory Committee

   The Rochester Sales Tax Committee held its first meeting on August 23, 2010.  With the City’s current sales tax set to expire at the end of 2011 or early 2012, the Mayor and the Rochester City Council appointed 12 members to this committee and charged them with the task of prioritizing a list of municipal departmental capital projects and community partnership projects needed in the next 15 to 18 years.  This list, as approved or amended by the City Council, will then be taken to the State legislature during its 2011 session for funding authorization through continuation of a local sales tax in Rochester
The committee will meet each Wednesday at 11:30 beginning September 8, 2010 and continuing until their task is complete. Sales Tax Advisory Committee
