Cross Country Skiing

The Department maintains groomed cross country ski trails at the following areas:

Ski equipment rental is available at Quarry Hill Nature Center. Call the Nature Center at 328-3950 for ski rental hours and rates.

Trail grooming is done when there is adequate snow base (6 inches or more).
Eastwood trails are groomed 3 days/week (M-W-F) and also in response to a 2" or greater snow event 7 days/week.
Trail grooming at Eastwood to be completed within 24 hours of snow events.
Trails at Soldier's Field are groomed 3 days/week (M-W-F).
There is no trail grooming done at Soldier's Field on weekends.
No trail grooming on any of the trails will occur on Christmas Day, New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day or Presidents' Day.
The maintenance priority and general quality of trail conditions should be assumed to be:
- 1. Eastwood Golf Course
- 2. Soldier's Field Golf Course
Trails at Quarry Hill and Schmidt parks are maintained by Rochester Active Sports Club (RASC).

There are no warming facilities available at these locations.
