The Rochester Recreation Center is designed to offer a number of community recreation activities under one roof. There are four basic areas of recreational activities as follows:
Water Sports - The swimming pool area has recently been updated. The pool is an Olympic length swimming pool that meets all AAU and FINA standards with a pool size of 50 meters in length and eight swimming lanes. Included in this area is two 1-meter and two 3-meter springboards with a movable bulkhead section that creates two 25-yard swimming areas. The pool area has seating for 1,021 spectators.
Ice Sports - There are two 85' x 200' ice rinks for hockey and figure skating. The main rink has seating for 2,508 spectators.
Gymnasium Sports - The gymnasium area of the building is designed in size to accommodate one official high school basketball court or one full size competition volleyball court. The gym can be set for two practice volleyball courts or six baskets with backstops for general recreation basketball. The gym also has three Pickleball courts marked out. The gym floor is covered with quarter inch vinyl surfacing to allow for multi-purpose use, including gymnastics.
General Community Meeting Rooms - There are two rooms that can be used for general meetings by the community and includes kitchen facilities for small social events. There is also a concession area that is accessible for gatherings.
