Meets the Third Thursday of the Month

CUDE is Rochester's Committee on Urban Design and Environment. Appointed by the Mayor, its members advise the Mayor, City Council, and other City boards on issues regarding urban design and its impacts on Rochester's physical and social environment.

Meeting Information

For meeting agendas, packets and minutes go to the City's Meeting Portal.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Committee on Urban Design and Environment is to maintain and improve the appearance, function and environmental quality of the community through investigation and development of appropriate policies and strategies.

Notes of Appreciation

One of CUDE's ongoing functions is to recognize new construction, renovation, maintenance, landscaping, and environmental projects that are contributing to Rochester's quality of life. Notes of appreciation are sent to these projects and an annual awards breakfast is held each fall to present the best of these with a recognition plaque. Click on "CUDE Awards" to find out more about this effort as well as how to nominate projects that impress you.
