The Rochester Police Department is seeking input regarding revisions to its Mobile Video Recorder Policy. For further information visit our Mobile Video Recorder Policy page. Citizen's wishing to attend the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on November 21st, 2016, will have an opportunity to offer comment on the policy as well.

Thinking about hunting in the city limits? Read this first! 

If you are thinking about hunting within the city limits of Rochester you may wish to refer to Rochester City Ordinance 85.13 for more information.  Requests to hunt with firearms in the city limits should be made in writing and directed to police Chief Roger Peterson c/o Sarah Clayton, Administrative Services Manager.  Your request must include your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, a description of the property, written permission of the land owner, address of the land owner, and a diagram of the property.  Questions may be referred to Sarah Clayton.

 

Online Crime Reporting 

The City of Rochester, Minnesota and the County of Olmsted, Minnesota accepts certain non-emergency crime reports on-line.  If you are the victim or a witness of a crime that occurred within the city of Rochester or Olmsted County, you may submit your initial report online.  Based on the information you report, you may be contacted by an Officer/Deputy or Investigator.

This form should only be used for non-emergency reports.
If you wish to report an emergency or urgent incident please call 9-1-1.
