Thinking about hunting in the city limits? Read this first!
If you are thinking about hunting within the city limits of Rochester you may wish to refer to Rochester City Ordinance 85.13 for more information. Requests to hunt with firearms in the city limits should be made in writing and directed to police Chief Roger Peterson c/o Sarah Clayton, Administrative Services Manager. Your request must include your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, a description of the property, written permission of the land owner, address of the land owner, and a diagram of the property. Questions may be referred to Sarah Clayton.

If you are the victim or a witness of a crime that occurred within the city of Rochester or Olmsted County, you may submit your initial report online. Based on the information you report, you may be contacted by an Officer/Deputy or Investigator.
