Chief of Police

Roger L. Peterson was appointed to the position of Chief of Police of the Rochester Police Department on July 1, 1998. Chief Peterson has been a member of the Rochester Police Department since 1981 and was promoted from the position of Deputy Chief of Operations. He holds a bachelors degree in Criminology/Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute.
