The private construction projects listed below hold an approved Right-of-Way Permit(s) and will have a notable impact on public use of the Right-of-Way. This list is not exhaustive and only includes projects with a large-scale impact. Click here for information on obtaining a Right-of-Way Permit.

Project Name: Hilton Hotel Project / Rochester Parking Ramp #6

ROW Permit Applicant: Kraus-Anderson Construction (507-226-8690; 416 South Broadway, Rochester)
Project Contact: John Pristash with Kraus-Anderson Construction

Permits:

  • Phase 1: Valid April 1, 2017 through July 23, 2017
  • Phase 2: Valid June 1, 2017 through August 31, 2017
  • Street/Alley Obstruction: Valid April 14 - December 30, 2017
    Contractor will be completely closing E Center Street from South Broadway to 1 Avenue SE for Hilton Hotel staging Area.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction: Valid May 8 - December 31, 2017
    Contractor will be closing the north parking and westbound travel lane and the sidewalk on the north side of the 10 Block of First Street SE. Traffic will be shifted to the south with one lane of traffic remaining open in each direction. As in the previous closures along this section of the roadway, the sidewalks along the north side of the 10 block of 1st Street SE will be closed to pedestrian traffic. This area will be used as a staging and access area for the project. (See May 23 Traffic PSA below)

ROW Permit Applicant: Elcor Construction Inc
Project Contact: John Pristash with Kraus-Anderson Construction (507-226-8690; 416 South Broadway, Rochester)

  • Street/Alley Obstruction: Valid June 19 - August 28, 2017
    Elcor Construction Inc will be completely closing the 1st Street SE and 1st Avenue SE intersection, as well as 1st Street SE from the alley west to 1st Avenue SE, due to project work. Only access to Broadway Plaza will be maintained. Access to the ramp off 1st Street SE will not be available; traffic will have to use 2nd Street SE to enter the ramp.

Project Name: Riverwalk Downtown City Apartments

ROW Permit Applicant: Weis Builders (507-288-2041, 2227 - 7th Street NW, Rochester)

Permits:

  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Boulevard Obstruction: Valid August 21 to December 31, 2017
    Contractor will be completely closing the sidewalk along the north side of E Center Street from 509 Center Street E to 419 Center Street E. The contractor will have this sidewalk closed for the duration of the project (January 2019). Pedestrian traffic will be shifted to the south side of Center Street E.   
  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Use of Metered Space: Valid September 18 to December 31, 2017
    Contractor will be completely closing the most northerly westbound lane along the north side of E Center Street from 509 Center Street E to 419 Center Street E, shifting traffic to the south into the parking lane along the bridge.

Project Name: Alatus Building

  • Street/Alley Obstruction: Valid August 31 to October 27, 2017
    Contractor will be installing site fencing along the project boundaries. The sidewalk along the south side of 2nd Street SW from 14th Avenue to 15th Avenue will be completely closed. The sidewalks along both 14th Avenue SW and 15th Avenue SW will be completely closed from 2nd Street SW to the south end of the project boundary.
