There are hundreds of stormwater management ponds in Rochester - adopt one near your home or business and make a difference for clean water! Interested groups, businesses, and individuals are encouraged to participate in the program. Volunteers agree to collect litter at least three times per year: once in late April as part of the Help Make Rochester A Litter Bit Better campaign, once in July, and once more in late fall before mid October.
Participation in the program is on a first-come, first-served basis. Some ponds may not be available for adoption due to access, construction, or vegetative management activities. The Rochester Public Works Department will provide trash bags and arrange for disposal of collected litter.
