2009 Activities
Flow and rainfall monitoring will continue into 2009. It's important that a "significant" rainfall event occurs during the monitoring period to help define the problem areas and substantiate the initial findings and conclusions. Additionally, dye testing will occur in all three pilot areas (Kutzky Park, Slatterly Park West, and Slatterly Park East). This testing will occur beginning in June, 2009.
General Information
Slatterly Park is located between South Broadway and 15th Ave SE, and between 4th St SE and and 12th St SE. Bear Creek and Mayo Run flow through the majority of this neighborhood from south to north.
After the historic rain and flooding occurred in August, 2007 this area was identified as an area requiring more study to ensure that the sanitary sewer infrastructure is adequately serving the area.
