Extensive thought an analysis goes into developing the routes, practices, and policies of Rochester Public Transit. The public plays an important role in that process. That is why, from time to time, the public is invited to provide specific feedback on items under current consideration.

Below is a list of current issues under consideration. We encourage you to lend your voice to the discussion.

ROUTE 19 DETOUR

Now that the road reconstruction on 55 St NW has been completed, the long-term detour on Rochester Public Transit (RPT) Route 19 is no longer made necessary by a road closure. However, ridership on Route 19 has increased while the detour has been operating (since June 2016). RPT faces a choice: return the route to its original path, keep the detour path as permanent, or use a hybrid of the two paths.
