RPU currently has about 40,000 water customers. This water comes from underground aquifers and is of such high quality that very little treatment is needed. As Rochester’s population grows, RPU must rise to the challenge of maintaining water quality and quantity. This means planning infrastructure investments to ensure water supply, as well as protecting wells from contamination and preserving rare wetlands unique to Rochester. Come see how RPU is taking action to protect the quality and ensure the quantity of Rochester’s water for future generations.
