All are invited to attend a series of special events celebrating the completion of public art installations by MNPAiR (Minnesota Parks Artists in Residence) artist Cassandra Buck. Installed at three local parks — Oxbow Park & Zollman Zoo, Quarry Hill Nature Center, and Cascade Lake Park — these vibrant works highlight nature, community, and connection to place. 

Each celebration will include a short artist talk, a hands-on public art activity for all ages, and light refreshments. Events are free and open to all. 

Oxbow Park & Zollman Zoo

“Creating these installations has been a meaningful way to connect with residents and celebrate the beauty of our shared natural spaces,” said MNPAiR artist Cassandra Buck. “I hope the work invites people to pause, reflect, and feel a deeper sense of belonging in these parks.” 

The MNPAiR program is a collaboration of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Parks and Trails Division, the Metropolitan Council Metropolitan Regional Parks, the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission, and Forecast Public Art.
