Winona County Releases Review of Conflict Case for Olmsted County
The Rochester Police Department has been notified that the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has completed its investigation into the death of Albert T. Dashow. The Olmsted County Attorney’s Office referred the matter to the Winona County Attorney’s Office for an independent determination of whether criminal charges should be brought against the involved officers.
The entire investigative file was submitted to the Winona County Attorney’s Office. The Winona County Attorney’s Office has completed their review. Based upon their review of the evidence and applicable law, it was concluded that no criminal charges were appropriate in this case.
Chief Jim Franklin shared, “Mr. Dashow’s death was a tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.”
