Your Voice Matters: City of Rochester to conduct community-wide survey on garbage service
The City of Rochester announced today that it will be conducting a survey with a representative sample of the community to gauge resident perceptions on collection and disposal of garbage and recycling. The survey will begin this month and will be conducted via phone with a random cross-section of residents.
The survey will attempt to understand opinions around garbage and recycling collection, composting, street maintenance and upkeep, and related customer service. The survey will be conducted by the Morris Leatherman Company, a full-service market and research company. Collection of information will be randomized, and all responses will be kept confidential.
The City of Rochester encourages individuals who are contacted to please participate in the survey, as the City and City Council uses the survey results to make informed decisions on topics of importance.
“As always, the perspective of our community members is vitally important. We ask those contacted to provide your feedback, as the results impact the direction of our community,” says City Administrator Steve Rymer.
Individuals contacted for the survey will see “Morris Leatherman Company” on their caller ID; both landlines and cell phones will be contacted. To accommodate schedules of residents randomly selected to participate, the screeners also offer the option to schedule appointments. Results are expected to be tabulated in late August and will be shared publicly shortly thereafter.
