RPD and Cub Foods partnership reaches 100th grocery delivery
Less than three weeks after Rochester Community Service Officers and Cub Foods launched a partnership to offer free grocery delivery to help keep at-risk, home-bound, and elderly safe during the Governor’s Stay at Home Order, they have reached a milestone today with the 100th grocery delivery.
“I am so thankful this service has been well-received,” said Community Service Officer Janet Scofield, who was the inspiration behind the partnership. “It really feels like we are making a difference for these individuals, and I am grateful for that.”
Joe Thompson, Cub Foods store director, extended his thanks to the Rochester Police Department for their incredible collaboration to help ensure that no customer is left behind during this unprecedented time. “Serving our customer's is at the heart of what we do here at Cub,” said Thompson. “My team takes pride in offering a safe, clean, and friendly shopping experience for all customers 24 hours a day.”
To commemorate the milestone, Cub Foods Corporate Representatives and Community Service Officers will have a small ceremony, which includes a donation of N95 masks, to the Rochester Police Department at 11 a.m. this morning.
