Morning 18D trips will no longer pick up at Lots 7 & 8 after 6:35 a.m.
On December 12, 2018 the Rochester Fire Department, Rochester Police Department, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, and Gold Cross will provide 300 hams to community members in need. The gathering will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Army National Guard Armory Parking Lot (1715 Marion Road SE).

Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission Recommends Legislature Fund $1.1 Million to Develop Portion of Gamehaven Regional Park
The Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission has announced that they will recommend that the Legislature provide approximately $1.1 Million in funds from the Legacy Funding to help develop the west portion of the Gamehaven Regional Park.

City crews will be removing snow on Monday morning from the downtown area streets. The following streets will be posted on Sunday 12/2/18 by 11:00am for scheduled snow plowing between the hours of 12 AM and 8 AM on Monday, December 3, 2018.

The City of Rochester’s Public Works Department operates a fleet of snow plows that works to clear over 500 miles of roads, 9 miles of alleys, 544 cul-de-sacs, 40 miles of sidewalks and bike paths within the city limits of Rochester.

Beginning on Friday, December 14th and going through Friday, December 21st, 2018 or until work is finished, the Koch Company will be doing demolition work on the Days Inn located in the northeast corner of Center Street West and 1st Avenue NW.
The Mayor’s Office is seeking applications from local citizens residing in Rochester who are interested in serving on boards/commissions/committees.

Rochester Parks & Rec will be performing some work near the 5400 block of Weatherstone Drive NW.
Work on the 18th Avenue NW Reconstruction Project has been completed for the 2018 season and will resume in spring 2019. The roadway will re-open to travel in each direction in the afternoon on Wednesday, November 21st.

Mayor Ardell F. Brede will proclaim Wednesday, November 21, 2018 as Indigenous Peoples’ Day in Rochester, MN. This is the fourth year that Mayor Brede has provided a proclamation for the day.

Heading into the winter of 2018 Kraus-Anderson Construction will continue the lane restrictions that were in place along the “Broadway at Center” Hilton project.
Dredging of the Zumbro River from the Broadway Bridge (near Soldiers Field) to the Bear Creek Confluence (near Mayo Civic Center) is expected to begin on Monday, November 26 and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2018.
