On Saturday, April 27th, 2019, weather permitting, Hawk & Sons Inc. will be closing 1st Avenue SW from approximately 25 feet north and south of the pedestrian crossings at the Peace Plaza.
The 4th Street SW Reconstruction Project will resume on Tuesday, May 7, weather permitting.
On Friday, April 26th, Hawk & Sons Inc. will be closing the 400 block of 3rd Avenue SW adjacent to the Discovery Square Construction Project.
– The Infrastructure Maintenance Division will begin mill and overlay operations in various locations throughout the City this week.
Beginning, Thursday, April 25th and ending Saturday, April 27th, 2019 the 100 block of 1st Street S.E. will be closed to through traffic.
During the Rochester City Council meeting on April 15, 2019, Mayor Kim Norton delivered a proclamation announcing April 2019 as National Arab American Heritage month.

Beginning Monday, April 22, 2019 and going through Friday, May 17th, 2019, the sidewalk located on the east side of 1st Avenue SW, just north of the old 1st Street SW intersection, adjacent to the Wells Fargo building, will experience temporary periodic closures.
On Monday, April 22, 2019 construction on 18th Avenue NW will resume.
The City of Rochester has awarded a construction contract to Rochester Sand and Gravel for the Multi-use Path Project along the north side of Highway 14.

Fraser Construction Co. will be beginning utility and construction work in the 2300 block of 2nd Street SW (Country Club Road SW), on the south side of the roadway, for the new JR Second Street building.
Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) received the 2019 Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) Diamond designation by the American Public Power Association (APPA). RPU was honored at the APPA Engineering and Operations Conference in Colorado Springs, CO on Monday, April 1, 2019.
