On Wednesday, September 26, 2018 the intersection of 4th Street SW and 5th Avenue SW will be closed to allow for utility work within the intersection. 6th Avenue SW will return to two-way traffic allowing for both northbound and southbound traffic.
Weather permitting, Hawk & Sons Inc. will be doing crane work at the Taco Bell facility, requiring the sidewalk on the east side of Broadway Avenue North in 500 block to be closed to pedestrian traffic beginning on Tuesday, September 25th and going through Thursday, September 27th, 2018.
Mastec – North America will be doing manhole repair work for Rochester Public Utilities.
On Wednesday, September 26th, 2018, 5th Street SW from the alley located approximately 175 feet west of 1st Avenue SW to 1st Avenue SW will be closed to through traffic for a DMC Discovery Square Block Party event associated with the multi-day Mayo Clinic Transform Conference.
The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester will be will holding their annual “Chili Challenge” Event on Thursday, September 27th on 1st Avenue S.W.
Beginning Friday, September 28th, from Noon until 11:00 PM, 3rd Street SW from the alley, located west of South Broadway, to 1st Avenue SW will be closed to through traffic as part of the Tap House Oktoberfest celebration.

Beginning on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, and lasting until the end of the renovations on the Hotel Indigo project, former City Center Hotel site, Weis Builders will be closing the sidewalk and Turn Under Bay located on the North side of 3rd Street SE.
Between May 22 and June 20, 2018, 400 City of Rochester residents were randomly selected for telephone interviews to collect data for the City of Rochester Community Survey. The survey results were compiled and in July 2018, the data was presented to the Mayor, City Council, and community.

Due to the increasing needs of archery and mountain biking at Gamehaven Park, Rochester Park & Recreation relocated the existing archery range infrastructure.

On Monday, September 17, the reconstruction of 4th Street SW from 1st Avenue SW to 6th Avenue SW is scheduled to proceed with the next project phase. Traffic changes will occur.

The reconstruction of 4th Street SW from 1st Avenue SW to 6th Avenue SW is scheduled to proceed with the next project phase starting on Monday, September 17, 2018.
In a continued effort to create accessibility and enjoyment of the parks and trail systems for all residents and visitors, the Parks & Recreation Department has made available the Action Trackchair, which is an all-terrain wheelchair.

Knutson Construction Services will be revising the existing lane restrictions between 6th Avenue SW and 9th Avenue SW along 2nd Street SW beginning on Friday, September 14th and going through Friday, November 2nd, 2018.
The pilot bike share program is scheduled to roll out between Monday, September 10 - Wednesday, September 12, 2018. There will be approximately 40 bikes available at six locations.

Beginning immediately and lasting until Friday, October 5th, 2018 AB Systems will be closing the sidewalk located on the south side of 4th Street SW, from 4th Avenue SW to 5th Avenue SW.
On Sunday, September 9, from 2pm-5pm, the City of Rochester, along with the Rochester Public Library Foundation and Friends of the Rochester Public Library will be hosting an outdoor Block Party for the entire community.

The budget development process for 2019 has been revised as the City of Rochester transitions to a revenue first, multi-year budget. It is anticipated to be fully implemented over a two year period (2018 and 2019), with significant progress being made this year.
