Rochester is proud to be the first city in Minnesota to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification.
Rochester, Minnesota was awarded the state’s first LEED Gold City designation by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), in recognition of the City’s effort to achieve significant municipal sustainability and resiliency goals. LEED is designed to help buildings, communities and cities achieve high performance in key areas of human and environmental health. Performance is tracked through Arc, a digital platform that connects actions and tracks progress using a performance score.
