Be Informed

A number of tools can be used by public officials to alert you and your family in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.  Rochester Alert is a great local option to be informed by receiving real-time, official notices from the City of Rochester.  Visit the Emergency Management Rochester Alert web page for more information.

Fire is Everyone's Fight

Eighty-one percent of all fire deaths and 76 percent of all fire injuries occur in residential buildings.  This is a call to action for the USFA, fire and life safety partner organizations and the American public. We must join together to help reduce the number of home fires, and the resulting deaths, injuries and loss of property. We rely on the fire service to fight fires once they occur; however, the prevention of fires is up to all of us… Fire Is Everyone’s Fight.
