City Ordinance 19D: An ordinance that establishes the Police Policy Oversight Commission.

On June 9, 2020, the Commission met and was tasked by Mayor Norton to review three policies currently in draft form that are slated to be updated by the Department including Use of Force, Handcuffing and Restraints and Standards of Conduct. Commission recommendations regarding these policies will be discussed at the July 7, 2020 meeting.

Open Position - Commissioner and Representative of Human Rights Commission
The Commission presented its 2017 Annual Report at a community forum on Monday, January 14, 2019. The forum was held at the Edison Building in the Edison Board room: 615 7th St SW, Rochester, MN 55902.
In addition to the Annual Report, there was a presentation highlighting the Rochester Police Department's community engagement efforts.
