The private construction projects listed below hold an approved Right-of-Way Permit(s) and will have a notable impact on public use of the Right-of-Way. This list is not exhaustive and only includes projects with a large-scale impact. Click here for information on obtaining a Right-of-Way Permit.

Project Name: Alatus Berkman Project

Permits:

  • Street/Alley Obstruction (Permit #190019): Valid January 1 - December 31, 2019
    Contractor has fencing along the project boundaries. The sidewalk along the south side of 2nd Street SW from 14th Avenue to 15th Avenue will be completely closed. The sidewalks along both 14th Avenue SW and 15th Avenue SW will be completely closed from 2nd Street SW to the south end of the project boundary.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction (Permit #190020): Valid January 1 - July 31, 2019
    Contractor will be parking staged concrete trucks (facing wrong direction) along the east side of 15 Avenue SW from 2nd Street SW to the south along the project site. A flagger will be positioned at both ends control traffic as necessary.

Project Name: Residence at Discovery Square

Project Name: Wells Fargo

  • Street/Alley Obstruction; Use of Metered Space (Permit #190485): Valid May 15 through May 28, 2019
    Contractor will be completely closing 1st Avenue SW from W Center Street to the south side of the Peace Plaza Crosswalk to complete watermain relocation work required for the Wells Fargo Project. Meters south of the closure will be used for u-turns on 1st Avenue SW. Sidewalks along the east side of 1st Avenue will also be completely closed to allow work to take place.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction; Use of Metered Space (Permit #191002): Valid July 8-9, 2019
    Contractor will be completely closing 1st Avenue SW from W Center Street to the south side of Peace Plaza to complete the installation of the scaffolding for the project. Space will be provided for u-turns on 1st Avenue SW. Access to the Marriott will be off 2nd Street SW. The sidewalk along the east side of 1st Avenue SW will be completely closed to allow this work to take place.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction; Use of Metered Space (Permit #191003): Valid July 10 through August 30, 2019
    The contractor will be using the parking stalls for the scaffolding related to the Wells Fargo Project. The scaffolding cannot be removed weekly for the Thursdays Downtown event.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction; Use of Metered Space (Permit #191004): Valid July 10 through September 13, 2019
    The contractor will be completely closing southbound traffic along 1st Avenue SW from Center Street to 1st Street SW and parking lane to start the Wells Fargo Project.

Project Name: County Steam Line Repairs

  • Street/Alley Obstruction (Permit #190442): Valid May 10 through June 10, 2019
    Contractor will be completing extensive repairs to the County Steam Line. The southside of 4th Street SE will be impacted from west of 6th Avenue to east of 14th Avenue SE. The sidewalk on the south side of 4th Street SE will be closed throughout the project area. One lane of eastbound traffic on 14th Avenue SE will be maintained at all times. 13th Avenue SE will be completely closed south of 4th Street SW.

Project Name: Chateau Project

  • Street/Alley Obstruction; Dumpster (Permit #190051): Valid January 1 through July 19, 2019
    Contractor will be completely closing the alleyway between Broadway and 1st Avenue SW south of Center Street next to the Chateau. The dumpsters will be removed daily. Pedestrians will not be allowed through the construction space.

Project Name: Urban on 1st/The Maven

    Contractor will restrict S Broadway to one lane southbound. Sidewalks along S Broadway Avenue and 1st Avenue SW will be closed for the duration of the project. The boulevards along 1st Avenue SW will be used for staging.

  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Use of Metered Space (Permit #190684): Valid May 28 through June 10, 2019
    Contractor will be completely closing 1st Avenue SW from 5th Street SW to the north to complete storm sewer work. Access to all properties will be maintained from either north or south of the work area.

    Contractor will be completely closing a parking lane and an eastbound traffic lane on West Center Street from 2nd Avenue SW east to the alley. Traffic will be shifted to allow for one lane in each direction around the work area.

    Contractor will be creating a temporary entrance to the construction site off Civic Center Drive NW at 2nd Avenue NW. 1st Avenue NW will be down to one lane southbound.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction; Use of Metered Space (Permit #191013): Valid July 8 through December 30, 2019
    Contractor will be modifying the current layout to shift traffic northbound and southbound onto the original northbound and parking lanes on the east side of 1st Avenue NW from Civic Center Drive to 3 Street NW. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain.

    Contractor will be completing work in the City of Rochester Right of Way and along city traffic lanes. Additional Right of Way permits will be required for traffic lane closures, roadway closures, and sidewalk closures.
