The private construction projects listed below hold an approved Right-of-Way Permit(s) and will have a notable impact on public use of the Right-of-Way. This list is not exhaustive and only includes projects with a large-scale impact. Click here for information on obtaining a Right-of-Way Permit.

Project Name: Hilton Hotel Project / Rochester Parking Ramp #6

ROW Permit Applicant: Kraus-Anderson Construction (507-226-8690; 416 South Broadway, Rochester)

Permits:

  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Use of Metered Space (Permit #180015): Valid January 1 - October 31, 2018
    Meters 47-0 through 20; 46-50 through 58 will be used for project staging.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Use of Metered Space (Permit #180016): Valid January 1 - October 31, 2018
    Contractor will be completely closing 1st Avenue SE from Civic Center Drive to 1st Street SE to use the roadway for staging area for the project. The sidewalk along the closed roadway will be completely open for the duration of the project.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Use of Metered Space (Permit #180019): Valid January 1 - October 31, 2018
    Contractor will be leaving only one westbound road closed to through traffic lane in the most northerly parking lane. Remainder of Center Street will be completely closed and inside jersey barriers. The left hand turn lane on Broadway will also be completely closed. The sidewalks on both sides of the property will be completely closed. A bus detour is required.
  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Use of Metered Space (Permit #180020): Valid January 1 - October 31, 2018
    Contractor will be completely closing westbound most northerly parking lane and drive lane, leaving one lane in each direction. The sidewalk will be completely closed along the north side of 1st Street SE from the east side of 1st Avenue SW to Broadway to allow equipment and trucks in and out of the project site.
  • Street/Alley Construction (Permit #180032): Valid January 1 - July 31, 2018
    Contractor will be placing a crane to complete panel placement on Hilton Building. Contractor will be shifting most easterly northbound traffic into the west northbound driving lane from 2nd Street S to Center Street. There will be one lane northbound open on the right side of the roadway.

Project Name: Riverwalk Downtown City Apartments

ROW Permit Applicant: Weis Builders (507-288-2041, 2227 - 7th Street NW, Rochester)

  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Use of Metered Space (Permit #180012): Valid January 1 to December 31, 2018
    Contractor will be completely closing the most northerly westbound lane along the north side of E Center Street from 509 Center Street E to 419 Center Street E, shifting traffic to the south into the parking lane along the bridge. Contractor will be completely closing the sidewalk along the north side of E Center Street from 509 Center Street E to 419 Center Street E. The contractor will have this sidewalk closed for the duration of the project (January 2019). Pedestrian traffic will be shifted to the south side of Center Street E.

Project Name: Alatus Building

  • Street/Alley Obstruction (Permit #180046): Valid January 1 - December 31, 2018
    Contractor has fencing along the project boundaries. The sidewalk along the south side of 2nd Street SW from 14th Avenue to 15th Avenue will be completely closed. The sidewalks along both 14th Avenue SW and 15th Avenue SW will be completely closed from 2nd Street SW to the south end of the project boundary.

Permits:

  • Street/Alley Obstruction; Use of Metered Space (Permit #180453): Valid May 14 - June 1, 2018
    Contractor will be closing two lanes of 2nd Street SW to complete service connections for the Alatus building. For the duration of this work two lanes will be closed at all time with one lane in each direction left open.

Project Name: Discovery Square

  • Street/Alley Obstruction, Boulevard Obstruction, Use of Metered Space (Permit #180013): Valid January 1 - December 31, 2018
    Contractor will be completely closing the sidewalk along 4th Street SW from 3rd Avenue SW to 2nd Avenue SW and 2 Avenue SW from 4th Street SW to 5th Street SW. This closing is in conjunction with the construction of the Discovery Square project and will remain in place until the project is complete. Click here for a map.

    Contractor will be closing the parking lane and the northbound westerly driving lane along 3rd Avenue SW from 5th Street SW to 6th Street SW. Parking on the east side of 3rd Avenue SW will also be removed to allow for 1 northbound driving lane. Click here for a map.
