Project Scope: The intent of this project is to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and skills required for the construction of interior modifications including mechanical and electrical work.

Sealed bids for the construction of the Northern Hills Golf Course Club House in Rochester, Minnesota will be received at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Rochester until 2:00 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2018, at 201 4th Street SE. Thereafter, the City Clerk will publicly open said bids which shall subsequently be provided to the Rochester Park Board for consideration at their meeting on Nov. 13, 2018.

 

The scope of work is for the construction of a new 4,000 SF building at the Northern Hills Golf Course in Rochester, MN. This project shall be subject to Minnesota prevailing wages. A pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 2 pm at the Northern Hills Golf Course. Contractors are asked to review the project documents and submit questions via email to the architect in advance of this meeting to expedite communication. All bidders are strongly urged to attend and will be responsible for items discussed during the On-Site meeting. If approved by the Rochester Park Board, the Work is expected to start on or before December 1, 2018 and shall be substantially complete no later than April 3, 2019 and shall be fully completed no later than May 30, 2019. Construction activities must be coordinated with Northern Hills Golf Course staff to avoid interference with business activities.

Bids shall be submitted upon the bid form furnished with the specifications and enclosed in an envelope bearing the name of the project. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond, payable to the City of Rochester, in the amount of 5% of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract with the City of Rochester for the work described. Performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract will be required. 

All of the work shall be done in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file in the office of CRW architecture + design group, 211 11th Ave. NW Rochester, Minnesota 55901. Contractors may view and order bid documents by going to the Franz Reprographics web site at www.franzrepro.com , and selecting the Franz Public Plan Room

NOTICE OF COUNCIL HEARINGS ON PLANNING ITEMS - NOV. 5

Notice is hereby given by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that all persons interested in the following public hearings:

Conditional Use Permit - Incentive Development Preliminary Plan #R2018-039CUP by 324 Partners, LLC, for a mixed use building with 50 residential units and commercial space on the first floor. The site is approximately 0.2 acres and is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of 4th Street SW and 1st Avenue SW.

Annual Review of the Rural Service District (RSD) Parcels. The question of whether the following described parcel of land recently annexed to the City should be included in the Rural Service District established by Ordinance 1466: Land along the south side of 8th Street SW, north of Meadow Ridge Drive SW, and west of the Greenbriar 1st subdivision.
