Additional Details for the Rescheduled September 4 Fireworks
The City of Rochester is pleased to announce new details for the rescheduled fireworks show at Soldiers Field Memorial Park on Friday, September 4. The show will begin at 9 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the show will happen on Saturday, September 5.
Since announcing the rescheduled show, the City has continued working with the fireworks vendor, J&M Displays Inc., to provide the Rochester community with a high-quality experience. J&M Displays Inc. will add a $10,000 enhancement to the September 4 display at no additional cost to the City. The enhancement brings the total value of the fireworks show to more than $48,000.
“Since July 4, the City has remained focused on delivering a strong and reliable fireworks experience for the Rochester community,” said Jenna Bowman, Strategic Communications & Engagement Director. “We appreciate J&M Displays Inc.’s commitment to enhancing the rescheduled show at no additional cost to the City. We look forward to welcoming the community back for the previously anticipated fireworks display on September 4 and thank the community for their understanding and patience.”
“J&M Displays, Inc. is proud to have a long-standing relationship with the City of Rochester and is honored to continue serving the Rochester community. We understand how important this fireworks display is to the community, and we are pleased to provide this enhancement as part of our commitment to delivering a memorable and successful show. We greatly appreciate the City’s partnership and look forward to bringing the Rochester community together for a spectacular evening on September 4, shares J&M Displays Inc. CEO Jim Oetken.
The City and J&M Displays Inc. are also implementing additional measures to support a successful and reliable show, including using a different firing system for the September 4 display.
Additional information about the event and how community members can sign up to receive timely updates will be shared in the coming weeks.
