Once you submit your application, you may not alter it for that particular recruitment. If you have adjustments, you may resubmit a new application after a 24-hour waiting period. The most recently received application submitted prior to the deadline will be considered and previous submissions for that particular recruitment will be inactivated.

It is important that you fully complete your application for each position, including all relevant education and experience. You may attach a resume, but you may not substitute a resume (or state "see resume") for completion of the work experience section. Applications may be rejected if incomplete.

Materials received after the job closing date will not be considered. The City of Rochester is not responsible for other agencies, internet service providers or postal services to forward applications by the deadline.

Veteran’s preference documentation should be uploaded and attached directly to your application for each position in which you are requesting veteran’s points. Alternatively, you may fax, email, or mail documentation to Human Resources.  If you have previously submitted the documentation to the City of Rochester for inclusion with an application, please contact Human Resources to have the materials transferred to a new application.
