City of Rochester Launches First Fall & Winter Fun & City Resources Mailer
The City of Rochester has released its first Fall & Winter Fun & City Resources mailer, which will begin arriving in residential mailboxes this week. Building on the positive response to the City's Summer Fun & City Resources mailers, the new seasonal edition brings together information about City services, recreation, events and community resources for the colder months ahead.
The mailer also responds to community requests to provide more information about Parks & Recreation facilities, activities and program offerings. The mailer highlights fall and winter opportunities including indoor and outdoor recreation, winter activities, adult sports leagues, AccessABLE Recreation, facility rentals and other ways to stay active throughout the season.
By bringing together information from multiple City departments and community partners into one publication, the City is making thoughtful use of existing resources and taking advantage of a cost-effective way to deliver timely, relevant information directly to every residential mailbox in Rochester. This coordinated approach helps reduce the need for separate outreach efforts while ensuring residents have access to information about services, programs and opportunities available to them.
"After seeing a positive response to our summer mailers, we wanted to provide residents with the same kind of useful, easy-to-navigate resource for fall and winter," said Jenna Bowman, Strategic Communications & Engagement Director for the City of Rochester. "We also recognize the importance of being thoughtful with City resources. By coordinating information across departments and community partners, we can reach every residential mailbox in Rochester in a very cost-effective way. It's a simple but meaningful opportunity to help residents discover what's available, access helpful resources and stay connected with their community."
In addition to the Parks & Recreation information, residents will also find practical information and resources to help them stay informed and prepared, including seasonal parking requirements, ice safety, voting information, Rochester 311, Healthy Home Helpers and tips for protecting Rochester's waterways. The mailer also includes upcoming events, programs and resources from community partners.
Residents can expect the Fall & Winter Fun & City Resources mailer to begin arriving in their mailboxes this week. Additional printed copies will be available at City Hall and the Rochester Public Library. Residents can also access the digital version online.
