City of Rochester Seeking Applicants for Boards and Commissions

The City of Rochester is seeking community members interested in serving on several City boards and commissions. These volunteer opportunities allow residents to get involved in local government, share their perspectives and help shape decisions that impact the Rochester community.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with priority consideration for current vacancies given to those who apply by November 11, 2026.

Current openings include:

  • Music Board – Representatives from Wards 1, 2, 4 or 6

Each board and commission plays a role in providing input and recommendations on City programs, policies and services. Community members are encouraged to explore the available opportunities and consider applying.

Additional information about each board or commission, including responsibilities and qualifications, is available through the links above. Interested individuals can learn more and submit an application on the City's Boards and Commissions webpage.
