Crack Sealing to Temporary Close Power Plant Lot
July 7, 2026 – ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA – The City of Rochester will complete routine crack sealing in the Power Plant lot later this week. This preventive maintenance helps extend the life of the pavement and improve overall lot conditions. This work requires a single day closure.
The Power Plant Lot (West Silver Lake Drive NE and Civic Center Drive NE) will be closed on Wednesday, July 8 for routine crack sealing.

All vehicles must be moved by 10 p.m. the night before the closure.

The lot will reopen once work is complete, anticipated by 5 a.m. the following day.
- Inclement weather may require the work to be rescheduled.
Motorists who typically park in this lot are encouraged to plan ahead and use other City parking options during the brief closures.
