Maintenance Activities Continue at Armory and Power Plant Lots

July 22, 2026 – ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA – The City of Rochester is moving into the next phase of the planned maintenance of the Armory Lot (Broadway Avenue N and 2nd Street NW) and Power Plant Parking Lot (West Silver Lake Drive NE and Civic Center Drive NE). Over the course of the next week, the lots will be chip sealed, fog sealed and restriped. Both lots will be closed for the duration of this work. 

The Armory Lot and the Power Plant Lot will be closed from Friday, July 24 through Thursday, July 30. 

  • All vehicles must be moved by 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 23.

  • Both lots will reopen once work is complete, anticipated by 5 a.m. on Friday, July 31. 

  • Inclement weather may require the work to be rescheduled.  

Motorists who typically park in this lot are encouraged to plan ahead and use other City parking options during the closures.
