Mayor Norton and Rochester Public Utilities Host Town Hall: Your Utilities, Your Questions Answered
Rochester Mayor Kim Norton, in partnership with Rochester Public Utilities (RPU), will host a public Town Hall on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, focused on community questions related to water and electric utility services. Mayor Norton will be joined by RPU General Manager Tim McCollough.
The event will address common questions on timely topics, including power line clearance tree trimming, advanced metering, rate adjustments, water supply planning, and power supply planning, including renewable energy, battery storage, and other generation sources, as well as power outage response. The goal is to provide clear information, increase transparency, and create an opportunity for residents to engage directly with local leaders.
“Reliable, sustainable utility services are essential to our community’s quality of life,” said Mayor Norton. “This Town Hall is an opportunity to answer questions, share updates, and hear directly from residents about the issues that matter most to them.”
“We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and forward-thinking utility services,” said RPU General Manager Tim McCollough. “This conversation allows us to connect with the community, explain our work, and listen to feedback as we plan for the future.”
The Town Hall is free and open to the public. RSVP is appreciated but not required: https://forms.office.com/g/1sPzn2ZjMi
