New Marquee Unveiled at Mayo Civic Center

The $417,250 project was supported through the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s (EDA) Travel, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Program, with local matching contributions from Destination Medical Center (DMC) and Experience Rochester. 

 

In addition to the Mayo Civic Center marquee, the project included restroom improvements at the Chateau Theatre and power upgrades in Mayo Park to support food trucks and vendors during major events. 

 

“These improvements strengthen Rochester’s ability to host high-quality events and create memorable experiences for residents and visitors,” said Cindy Steinhauser, Deputy City Administrator for the City of Rochester. 

 

“The new marquee gives Mayo Civic Center a stronger presence downtown and a new way to showcase the incredible events taking place here,” said Joe Ward, Experience Rochester President. “We’re proud to partner with the City on investments that benefit our community, visitors and hospitality industry.”
