Notification of Level 3 Registrant

In accordance with Minnesota’s Community Notification Act, the Rochester Police Department is releasing information regarding Dontae Hampton, a Level 3 registrant.

Hampton changed his residence to the 1900 block of 8 ½ Street SE, Rochester MN, 55904 on May 1. Additional information is available in a public fact sheet.

Those convicted of sexual or predatory offenses have always been released to live in our communities, but it was not until passage of the Registration Act that law enforcement ability to track movement of these individuals after their initial release from custody. With the passage of the Community Notification Act, law enforcement now may share information with the public about many of these registrants. This creates an informed community that can engage with law enforcement to address any concerns and/or issues.
