Progress on Link Continues
April 27, 2026 – ROCHESTER, MNN. – As work on the Link corridor continues to progress, construction activity will expand west along 2nd Street SW to 14th Avenue SW beginning Monday, May 4. This next phase supports ongoing utility upgrades and roadway improvements that prepare the corridor for future Link service.
To safely accommodate this work, general traffic will be detoured around the construction area and should follow the blue "Hospital" detour signs to access the hospital from 14th Avenue SW. Emergency vehicles will continue to have full access to the hospital from 2nd Street SW.
These improvements, now 32.7% complete, build on the progress achieved last season and support the long-term vision for fast, reliable, fare-free transit service connecting residents, employees and visitors along the 2nd Street corridor.
What to Expect During Construction
Residents, businesses and travelers should anticipate temporary lane reductions, detours and occasional full closures as crews move through each phase of work. Clear signage, advance notice and continuous access to local properties will remain a priority.
