Residents Encouraged to Help Keep Rochester Parks Clean Through Adopt-a-Park Program
The City of Rochester is encouraging residents, families, community groups and organizations to help keep local parks clean and welcoming through the Adopt-a-Park Program.
The Adopt-a-Park Program is a community service opportunity that gives Rochester residents the chance to help keep parks clean and looking their best. Participants commit to picking up litter and reporting vandalism, broken equipment or other unsafe conditions observed in the park.
Whether you are looking for a meaningful family volunteer activity, a service project for your organization or a way to give back to the community, the Adopt-a-Park Program offers a simple way to make a difference.
“Our parks are an important part of what makes Rochester a great place to live, work and play,” said Paul Widman, Director of Parks & Recreation. “The Adopt-a-Park Program gives residents a meaningful way to take pride in their community and help keep parks safe, clean and welcoming for everyone.”
By adopting a park, volunteers play an important role in helping preserve Rochester’s green spaces and ensuring parks remain enjoyable for the entire community.
“We are grateful for the individuals and groups who help care for our parks,” Widman said. “Even small efforts can make a big impact in keeping Rochester parks clean and inviting.”
