RPD Bulletin 8.20.26

On August 18 around 5:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on the 200 block of 8th Ave. SE on a report of a burglary in progress. The home’s security camera alerted the occupants that someone had entered the residence. The occupants evacuated and officers cleared the home, locating no one else inside. A pair of shoes and phone were missing from the residence. Officers viewed security camera footage and recognized the suspect as Austin Hall, age 37, Rochester. Officers located him in a nearby parking lot with the missing items. Hall is charged with first degree burglary of an occupied dwelling.
