Temporary Relocation of the N. Broadway Park & Ride Lot
October 13, 2026 – ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA – Beginning Sunday, November 1, Rochester Public Transit (RPT) will temporarily relocate the North Broadway Park & Ride Lot from its current location at the former Chateau Theater CMX parking lot to the City of Rochester Transportation Center parking lot at 4300 E River Road.
RPT Routes 21, 120 and 150 will continue to service this Park & Ride and the timetables are not expected to change with this relocation.
This temporary relocation will remain in place until early 2027, when the North Broadway Park & Ride facility is expected to open. The 200‑space facility is designed to enhance transit access and rider comfort with a concrete parking structure, a two‑bus transit stop and a sheltered passenger area. The facility will also serve as a transit hub where multiple routes will converge, providing riders with convenient connections between services. Construction is underway in the northeast corner of the Rochester Recreation Center property off Elton Hills Drive NW. The project is funded through sources, including a Federal Transit Authority (FTA) Bus and Facilities Grant and a U.S. Department of Transportation grant.
RPT’s Park & Ride service provides a low-stress, convenient way to travel with frequent express routes to Saint Marys Hospital and downtown Rochester. In addition to the North Broadway Park & Ride, RPT also operates the 75th Street Park & Ride at 7340 Prairie Vista Drive NW and the Fairgrounds Park & Ride at 14 Street SE and Frontage Road SE.
