Work Continues on McQuillan Splash Pad with Hopes of Opening Before July 4 Weekend
Final construction work is underway at the McQuillan Splash Pad as crews prepare to open the facility to the public.
Additional water quality measures required by the Minnesota Department of Health were identified after construction was completed and must be installed before the facility can receive final approval.
Once this work is complete, the splash pad will undergo a final inspection by the Minnesota Department of Health.
Some of the remaining work is weather dependent but City teammates remain hopeful the McQuillan Splash Pad will open before the July 4 holiday weekend.
In the meantime, residents can enjoy the splash pads at Lincolnshire Park, Soldiers Field Aquatic Center and Silver Lake Pool. Splash pad access at Lincolnshire Park and Silver Lake Pool is free, while admission fees apply at Soldiers Field Aquatic Center.
The City appreciates the community's patience and looks forward to welcoming the public to the McQuillan Splash Pad as soon as possible.
