No Cost Bicycle Parking Pilot
In 2023, the City of Rochester received an Olmsted County Statewide Health Improvement Partnership grant to enhance bike parking options within the community. With this funding, three bike racks, providing up to 16 bike parking spaces, were purchased. These racks are available for businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to rent free of charge, offering a unique opportunity to pilot bike parking at their establishments. This allows businesses to test the demand for bike parking before investing in permanent infrastructure. The racks can also be used for community events where bike parking may be limited or unavailable.
