Soldiers Field Aquatic Center

The All-New Soldiers Field Aquatic Center was completed in the summer of 2024.  Amenities at the new aquatic center include:

  • Lazy River with zero depth entry
  • 3 Waterslide Tower (2 body slides and 1 tube slide)
  • 50-meter activity and lap pool with a climbing wall, drop slide, basketball hoop and aqua zip
  • Splash Pad with spray features, fountains and multi-level play structure

  • Adult (18+): $11
  • Child (3-17): $9
  • Age 2 & Under: $2
  • Evenings (6 p.m. - Close): $9 adult / $7 child
  • Splash Pad Only (Ages 2-6): $5 per child
  • Splash Pad Supervising/Non-Swimming Adult: $2
  • Lap Swim Only: $5
  • Toddler Time (Splash Pad - 10 -11:30 a.m.): $5 per child
    • Supervising adult is $2; Children 2 & Under: $2
  • Lazy River Walk Time (10 - 11:30 a.m.; 8 - 9 p.m.): $5 per person

 10 Visit Punch Pass: $75

Season Passes

Rochester Parks & Recreation will be offering an Outdoor Pools Season Pass in 2026. The season pass will be valid at both Soldiers Field Aquatic Center and Silver Lake Pool for the entire 2026 season.  The pass can be purchased at the Parks & Recreation office at City Hall (201 4th Street SE) during business hours (8 AM - 4:30 PM).

  • Season Pass Price: $150 per person

Additional family members living at the same address can purchase season passes at a discounted price. That discounted price scale is:

  • Second Family Member: $125 per person
  • Third Family Member: $100 per person
  • Fourth Family Member: $75 per person
  • Fifth Family Member and beyond: $50 per person

Book your next Party at Soldiers Field Aquatic Center. Purchase includes 10 daily tickets plus a 4-hour reservation of the party area. Time blocks are 12 - 4 p.m. or 4 - 8 p.m. Additional admission tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day of the party.

General Outdoor Pools Rules:

  • There is a break every day at the top of the hour. The pool will be cleared for lifeguards to perform a safety check.  Patrons can re-enter the pool once the whistle is blown to re-enter.
  • No running.
  • No rough play.
  • No sitting on the shoulders of another patron playing.
  • No underwater "hold your breath" competitions.
  • No water wings.
  • No non-squishy aquatic toys (lifeguard discretion).
  • No inflatables.
  • No diving or flips into the pool.
  • No kickboard surfing. (Jumping in from outside the pool trying to surf on kickboard.)
  • A life jacket must be well fitted & approved by USCG. No inflatable life jackets. 
  • No harassment, sexual comments, or profanity directed at staff under any circumstance, if harassing lifeguards or staff, you will be asked to leave.
  • No eating in the pool. Eating on the pool deck is allowed.
  • No alcohol, drugs, weapons, tobacco, or vapes. Management reserves the right to search bags.
  • Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave.
  • No smoking within 20 ft of fences.
  • No glass of any kind is allowed.
  • No hard exterior coolers/coolers on wheels. 
  • No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drugs on the premises.
  • Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
    • Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult at all times within a body’s distance. (Management reserves the right to remove patrons who are not watching their children or refuse to listen to safety policies.)
  • Groups of more than 6 children with 1 adult will not be allowed.
  • If guardians are practicing unsafe behaviors such as allowing their small child to go unsupervised, Lifeguards/Management reserve right to warn and then ask the patrons to leave.
  • Lifeguards reserve the right to take away any objects.
  • Lifeguards reserve the right to stop any behavior that is deemed unsafe regardless of whether it is listed as a rule or not.
  • Lifeguards/Management will give a warning to anyone for breaking a rule.  After that, a patron can be asked to leave.
  • Parks & Recreation and Outdoor Pools staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Anyone in the pool or pool area without entering at admission desk or outside of public hours is trespassing and law enforcement will be contacted.  Jumping the fence is considered trespassing.

 Activity/Large Pool

  • Lap Lanes are for Lap Swimming only 
    • People who have paid for general swimming can also lap swim
    • If there are no lap swimmers in the lap lanes, water walking is allowed for adults*
  • No hanging on the lane lines or ropes.
  • Stay out of the slide area, climbing wall, and drop slide areas.
  • No patrons allowed on the peninsula.
  • Accessible Ramp is used only for getting in and out of the pool. No playing on the ramp.
  • Stay off the blue tile.
  • Be respectful of others around when playing with football, water guns, etc.
  • No hard toys (Real football, Frisbee, Etc.)

 Climbing Wall

  • One climber at a time
  • Line outside the pool
  • If you fall off, you need to exit
  • The area around the bottom needs to be clear when someone is climbing
  • Climber must remain in a vertical position.
    • No diving, flips off the climbing wall
  • Once hands touch the top, you need to jump off.
  • No lifejackets allowed on the climbing wall

 Aqua Zip 

  • One patron at a time.
  • Area below the Aqua Zip must be kept clear
  • No flips off the Aqua Zip
  • No running build up.
  • Lifejackets are allowed on the Aqua Zip

 Basketball

  • No dunking.
  • No rough play.
  • Stay within the designated area.
  • Cannot bring their own ball
  • Lifeguards/ Management have the right to stop basketball on busy days, as well as when play gets too rough/unsafe.

 Slide Rules

  • No life jackets allowed on the slides.
  • Wait outside the Slide Flume until Lifeguard directs you to enter. 
  • Feet first on your back.
  • One patron at a time.
  • Not allowed to hold a child on a slide.
  • Minimum Height to ride the slides is 48 inches
  • NO Necklaces, glasses, hats, goggles
  • Follow all rules posted set forth by Splashtacular LLC
  • Absolutely no catching children on the bottom

 Lazy River – During Open Swim Time

  • No toys.
  • Must be on or inside the tube, cannot be sitting on the edge of the tube
  • No outside inflatables.
  • Tube Rules:
    • Only sit on them in the water.
    • This is not a flotation device. You need to be able to swim to use the tubes.
    • Only for use on the tube slide and the lazy river.
    • Hands and head must be above the tube at all times to properly be seen
  • Only entrances to the lazy river are zero depth and two pool stairs. 
    • Ladders are for emergency use only

 Baby Pool

  • Children must be with a guardian. Guardians need to be watching their children
    • Lifeguards/Management reserve the right to ask older kids to exit due to safety reasons. 
  • No climbing on features besides the multi-level structure
  • Lifejackets are allowed on slides in the Baby Pool
  • Lifeguards reserve the right to allow/not allow parents to sit with children on their lap on the main baby slides (not allowed on splash pad slide).

 Water Walk (Morning/Evening Programming)

  • Children are allowed only if they are walking with their guardian and are not being disruptive. 
  • If a child will not stick with the guardian, they are given one warning and then asked to go to Tot Time. 
  • Parents may hold babies while they walk safely. 
  • No Swimming in the Red/Green Slide area. 

Lap Swim (Morning/Evening Programming) 

  • Lap Swimming or Fitness Walking only. 
  • There is no open swim during this time. 

General Weather Policy: Soldiers Field Aquatic Center will be closed if the air temperature is below 70 degrees.  If the air temperature drops below 70 degrees at 5:00 p.m. and attendance is 10 paid admissions or less, the pool will close.  If the pool is not open by 3:00 p.m. due to weather conditions, it will not open that day.

Weather-Related or Pool Closure Refund Policy

  • Rochester Parks and Recreation Outdoor Pools do not offer cash or credit card refunds for weather-related delays or closures. If the pool is cleared for over an hour due to inclement weather, guests who purchased a daily admission within an hour of the closure will receive a daily admission pass to return on another day. Eligible guests must be present and have an admission wristband on at time of closure to receive their pass.  You will receive a pass for whatever type of wristband you are wearing at time of closure.  Non-swimmer patrons are not eligible for a raincheck pass.
  • No passes will be issued if closure or delay is within one hour of scheduled closure.

All Sales Final – No Refunds or Raincheck Passes for Other Reasons

Wristbands are Valid ONLY on the Day of Purchase
