The All-New Soldiers Field Aquatic Center was completed in the summer of 2024.  Amenities at the new aquatic center include:

• Lazy River with zero depth entry
• 3 Waterslide Tower (2 body slides and 1 tube slide)
• 50 meter activity and lap pool with a climbing wall, drop slide, basketball hoop and aqua zip
• Splash Pad with spray features, fountains and multi-level play structure

Outdoor Pools - Policies:

• There is a break everyday at the top of the hour. The pool will be cleared for lifeguards to perform a safety check.  Patrons can reenter the pool once the whistle is blown to reenter.
• Children ages 12 & below cannot be at the pool unattended.
• Groups of more than 6 children with 1 adult will not be allowed.
• No rough play or fighting.
• Anyone in the pool or pool area without entering at admission desk or outside of public hours is trespassing and law enforcement will be contacted.  Jumping the fence is considered trespassing.
• No alcohol/tobacco/vapes/drugs on the premises.
• No profanity at any time.
• Lifeguards/Management will give a warning to anyone for breaking a rule.  After that, a patron can be asked to leave.

Outdoor Pools - Pool Rules:

• No rough play or fighting in the pool or on the deck
• Walk at all times on the pool deck
• No diving or flips into the pool
• Stay off lane lines and ropes
• No catching at the bottom of slides
• Minimum Height to ride the slides is 48 inches
• Feet first down the slides
• No flotation devices on the slides
• No goggles or masks over the nose
• Anyone not following the rules will get a warning and then be asked to leave

The pools close if the air temperature is below 70 degrees.  If the air temperature drops below 70 degrees at 5:00 p.m. and attendance is 10 paid admissions or less, the pool will close.  If the pool is not open by 3:00 p.m. due to weather conditions, it will not open that day. Foster Arend Beach and Cascade Lake Beach waters are tested weekly for bacteria levels (3 samples are taken at each body of water).  Swimming recommendations will be posted here based on the results of those tests.  3 levels will be used:

• GREEN - bacteria levels are low
• YELLOW - bacteria levels are elevated, swimming is not recommended (warning signage posted)
• RED - bacteria levels are very elevated (single sample over 1260 organisms per 100 mL of water), beach is closed, swimming strongly discouraged (BEACH CLOSED signage posted)

Bacteria levels may increase for a variety of reasons including runoff after a large rainfall event, wildlife in the area and hot weather.

Foster Arend Beach will be open daily from May 24, 2025 through Labor Day (September 1, 2025)

Open 7 Days a Week: 12 PM - 8 PM (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun)

Foster Arend Beach has no lifeguards on duty.  The Park and Recreation Department encourages the "buddy" system when enjoying the beach.  Parents are responsible for their children.

Waterparks of Minnesota offers an inflatable waterpark at Foster Arend Beach.  There is an admission fee for this amenity.  More info can be found on Waterparks of Minnesota's Facebook Page.

The following regulations will be enforced at Foster Arend this swimming season:

- No swimming outside designated swimming area.
- No alcoholic beverages allowed in the entire park.
- No smoking in beach area.
- No glass containers in beach area.
- No dogs in beach area.
- The park will close at 9:00 p.m. nightly and the parking lot gates locked. 

Cascade Lake Beach season: May 24, 2025 through Labor Day (September 1, 2025)

Cascade Lake Beach has no lifeguards on duty.  The Park and Recreation Department encourages the "buddy" system when enjoying the beach.  Parents are responsible for their children.

The following regulations will be enforced at Cascade Lake Beach this swimming season:

- No swimming outside designated swimming area.
- No alcoholic beverages allowed in the beach area.
- No smoking in beach area.
- No glass containers in beach area.
- No dogs in beach area.
- The park and beach are open during daylight hours.
