The Music Board meets quarterly, with the annual meeting in January.
The board’s purpose is to provide guidance and support to Rochester Public Music and to assure community representation in matters pertaining to Civic Music. The board has no authority to make final decisions on any matter; instead, the board acts in an advisory capacity. (Sec 2-7-16)
Bringing people together by creating fun and memorable live music experiences.
There shall be a permanent music board of nine members, with each ward represented by at least one member. (Sec 2-7-1)
Each member of the board shall be appointed for a term of three years and until a successor is appointed and qualified, except that initial appointments may be made for a term of less than three years in order that, thereafter, an equal number of terms expire each year. (Sec 2-7-3)
